Motorsports and Watercraft Groups Both Represented on Show Floor
The American International Motorcycle Expo presented by Nationwide (AIMExpo) welcomes the return of legacy OEM exhibitor Yamaha Motor Corporation (Yamaha). The Cypress, California-based company renews its commitment and will showcase both its Motorsports and Watercraft groups on the exhibit floor inside the Greater Columbus Convention Center. With new models represented on the show floor, demo rides at AIMExpo Outdoors! and a few other surprises in the works, Yamaha will make the most of The Powersports Expo’s debut in downtown Columbus, Ohio, from September 21-24.
Both the Motorsports and Watercraft Groups’ exhibit space will be filled with brand new 2018 models, giving dealers, media and consumers the chance to see the latest and greatest from the iconic brand. Yamaha Watercraft will showcase its latest WaveRunner and Sport Boats, while the Motorsports group will have plenty to show off with their recently introduced Transcontinental Tourer – the Star Venture, as well as the all-new Kodiak 450 ATV, the all-new and revolutionary YZ450F motocross bike, along with a few other surprises.
“We are very pleased to continue our corporate support of AIMExpo, as we have since the very first show in 2013,” said Bob Starr, Corporate Communications Manager for Yamaha Motor Company. “This is the only show of its type in the U.S. and we collectively feel this is an excellent opportunity to engage with our dealer partners while they take an in-person pulse of the industry and kickstart the 2018 season for their dealerships!”
After seeing the new models inside the convention center, attendees will have the chance to throw a leg over an array of street models and take them on a demo ride at AIMExpo Outdoors! With this show feature, in addition to the expansive selection of new products inside, enthusiasts will be able to get a hands-on experience of key Yamaha products they love all in one place, at one time. This will include the all-new Star Venture motorcycle as well as other prominent street-based products.
“From the very beginning, Yamaha has invested in AIMExpo presented by Nationwide and played an integral role in our collective efforts to reinvigorate the powersports industry,” said Larry Little, Vice President and General Manager of MIC Events. “Each year, Yamaha has utilized the platform to its fullest potential in one way or another, and we can’t wait to see all they will do as we turn Columbus into Powersports USA over four days this September.”
